Accomplished multi-cultural, well traveled design professional with more than twenty-five years of combined experience in Landscape Design/Build industry and Landscape Architecture design studio.

Born and raised in France and a naturalized American citizen, Laurent’s is passionate about his profession. His versatility, innovative thinking and attention to detail result in creative, buildable, and sustainable design solutions.

Laurent has a strong practical understanding coupled with a keen sense of design. Upon completing his ornamental horticulture science/landscape studies in France, he began his career in the United States in 1982, completed additional studies in site design, urban planning, architecture, and tropical ornamental vegetation at Christopher Newport University, University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University. Trained as high-end residential landscape architectural designer and while working for one of the most talented, award-winning landscape architectural studios in southwest Florida, Laurent contributed to the designs of several award-winning projects.

2001 [CBIA] Sand Award for Private Residence Best Landscape Design/Outdoor Amenity.

2000 [ASLA/Florida] Award of Honorable Mention for Private Residence.

2000 [FNGA] Landscape Award of Excellence Single Family Renovation.

After completing his additional studies, Laurent moved to the Cayman Islands and later in Bermuda where he collaborated with a variety of prominent architectural firms, renowned botanist and artist. He has a dedicated [Tropical Chic] design aesthetic.

It is Laurent belief that the construction phase is equal in importance to the design process and is often found working in the field with contractors and artisans to ensure the best possible built result. In addition, Laurent features the true dramatic effect of his designs by incorporating water and applying lighting techniques allowing for maximum impact. He has proven expertise in the utilization of an original combination of native plant species and contemporary plant palette. Laurent finds inspiration and has a great appreciation for architecture, building construction methods, design, botany, visual arts, and foreign cultures.
